Brief Job Profile:
End to end ownership from concept to detailed design for automotive automation and special purpose machines
Lead sizing and selection of mechanical components based on load, life, and application
Material selection considering strength, manufacturability, cost, and durability
Strong manufacturing process knowledge including machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly
Advanced engineering design capability with sound mechanical calculations
Selection and standardization of purchased and catalogue items
Technical support to manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning teams
Participation in customer design reviews and technical discussions
Mentoring and technical guidance to junior design engineers
Clear communication across design, controls, manufacturing, and project teams
Skill Set:
Industrial automation system design for automotive applications
Special purpose machine design with station level ownership
Structural and sheet metal fabrication design with strength validation
Advanced 3D modeling experience is mandatory
Defining complete assembly process and build methodology
Robust application knowledge of GD&T;
Creation and review of detailed assembly and part level drawings
Good knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic circuits
Hands-on support during machine build, trials, and project execution
