The role involves maintaining, testing, and optimizing PLC-based industrial automation systems to ensure smooth machine performance and minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repair of automation systems with PLC controls.
- Handle maintenance and breakdown support for Siemens S7 Series PLCs, Touch HMI, and I/O Modules.
- Read, understand, and work on ladder logic programs and control logic.
- Monitor and maintain PLC systems for smooth and efficient machine operations.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues in PLC-based control systems.
- Support integration and maintenance of SCADA/HMI systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of automation equipment.
- Optimize machine performance and reduce downtime through proper system analysis.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams for quick issue resolution.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, repairs, modifications,
and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure safety standards and maintenance procedures are followed at all times.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Hands-on knowledge of Siemens S7 Series Controllers.
- Experience in Touch HMI and I/O Modules.
- Good understanding of Ladder Diagram and PLC program logic.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems and machine control.
- Ability to troubleshoot both electrical and automation faults.
- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI integration.
- Exposure to PLC brands like:
- Siemens
- Allen-Bradley
- Schneider Electric
- Experience in PLC automation maintenance in an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Strong fault-finding and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork ability.
- Able to work under breakdown pressure and handle urgent maintenance issues.
