Job Summary:
The Shade Matcher is responsible for ensuring accurate color matching and consistency in painted steel furniture components. The role involves preparing shades as per approved samples, maintaining quality standards, and minimizing color variation during production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Match paint shades as per approved master sample or client requirement
- Prepare and mix paints, thinners, and chemicals in correct proportions
- Ensure color consistency across batches and production lots
- Conduct shade verification before and during production
- Maintain shade records, formulations, and batch details
- Coordinate with QC team for shade approval and quality checks
- Adjust shades based on environmental factors (temperature, humidity, etc.)
- Monitor paint consumption and minimize wastage
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of mixed paints
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in paint area
- Support production team in resolving shade-related issues
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid color vision and attention to detail
- Knowledge of paint types (powder coating / liquid paint)
- Understanding of mixing ratios and chemical handling
- Ability to use shade matching tools (spectrophotometer - if applicable)
- Basic documentation and record-keeping skills
- Problem-solving approach for shade variation issues
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI / Diploma or relevant experience in paint/shade matching
- 2-5 years of experience in shade matching (preferably in furniture, metal, or automotive industry)
- Experience in powder coating / industrial painting preferred
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
