Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate conventional and/or CNC lathe machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and materials for each job.
- Perform precision turning, drilling, boring, threading, and facing operations.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Measure finished components using micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Maintain required tolerances and surface finishes.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper lubrication and cleanliness.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
- Document production data and report any defects or irregularities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Technical certification in Machining, Turner Trade, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Turner or Lathe Operator in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and metal properties.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming (preferred, if applicable).
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
