Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented DBA Intern to join our IT team. The intern will assist in managing, maintaining, and optimizing company databases while gaining hands-on experience in database administration and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Monitor database performance and ensure high availability.
- Support backup and recovery processes.
- Help in troubleshooting database issues and resolving errors.
- Maintain database security and user access controls.
- Prepare reports related to database health and performance.
- Work closely with developers and IT teams for database optimization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of SQL (MySQL / MS SQL Server / Oracle).
- Understanding of database concepts (tables, queries, indexes, joins).
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Knowledge of backup and recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning.
- Basic understanding of cloud databases (AWS / Azure / GCP).
