We are seeking experienced Care Partners to join our Casual Bureau at Selwyn Village, providing cover across our care homes as required. This is a genuine casual role with shifts offered based on operational demand.

This role is ideal if you:
- Are specifically seeking casual work (no guaranteed hours)
- Are flexible and available for short-notice shifts
- Can work a mix of days, evenings and weekends
- Do not hold another full time position

About the role

As a Casual Care Partner, you'll support residents to live well, safely and with dignity, in line with The Selwyn Way. You'll step into established teams to provide consistent, person-centred care.

Your duties may include:
- Personal care and daily living support
- Medication assistance (where competent)
- Supporting resident activities and routines
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Accurate documentation and handovers

What we're looking for




- A minimum of two years' experience in aged care - rest home, hospital, or dementia care
- Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
- Level 3 or higher NZ Health and Wellbeing qualification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence using basic IT systems for resident notes
- A calm, reliable and flexible approach
- Physical capability for hands-on care duties
- Professional, compassionate, and resident-focused
