Role Overview
The APM Architect will serve as the overall technical owner and single point of contact (SPOC) for the Monitoring Assessment and GAP Analysis engagement. The role is responsible for designing the monitoring assessment framework, driving current-state evaluation, performing GAP and
benchmarking analysis, and defining a phased APM and monitoring roadmap aligned to industry best practices and exchange-grade reliability standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the overall technical owner and single point of contact (SPOC) for the Monitoring Assessment and GAP Analysis engagement.
- Drive Current State Assessment (Month 0.5-1.5) through detailed review of existing monitoring tools,
configurations, dashboards, alerts, reports, and operational workflows, including stakeholder interviews to capture expectations and pain points.
- Perform comprehensive GAP Analysis (Month 1.5-2.5) to identify deficiencies in monitoring coverage, KPI effectiveness, alerting strategies, RCA capability, and proactive or predictive monitoring readiness.
- Benchmark current monitoring practices against industry best practices to define target-state standards, KPIs, and observability maturity goals.
- Design and recommend target-state APM and monitoring architecture, mapping identified gaps to actionable remediation strategies.
- Define short-, medium-, and long-term monitoring and observability recommendations, including tool optimization, KPI rationalization, and advanced monitoring capabilities.
