Job Description: Merchandiser (Textile / Fabric)

Department: Merchandising / Production
Location:Palsana, Surat
Reporting To: Merchandising Head / Director

Key Responsibilities:
- Fabric Quality Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of fabric quality (greige & finished).
- Ability to identify defects, GSM issues, shade variation, hand feel, and finish.
- Ensure fabric quality as per buyer/party requirements.
- Fabric Stock Management:
- Maintain fabric stock records (inward, outward, balance).
- Coordinate with store team for fabric availability before commitments.
- Monitor fabric consumption to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Colour Matching & Shade Control:
- Knowledge of colour matching and shade approvals.
- Coordinate with dyeing/printing team for shade corrections.
- Ensure final shade approval before bulk production.
- Party / Buyer Coordination:
- Coordinate with parties regarding orders, quality, shade, and delivery timelines.
- Share order status, dispatch details, and handle queries.
- Address buyer feedback and ensure corrective actions.




- Order Follow-up:
- Track orders from sampling to dispatch.
- Coordinate with production, dyeing, printing, and dispatch teams.
- Ensure timely order execution as per commitment.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain order, approval, stock, and dispatch records.
- Prepare regular status reports for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in têxtile merchandising (fabric background preferred).
- Positive knowledge of fabric quality, colours, and stock handling.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel / ERP preferred.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Palsana, Surat, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:
