We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced DLP Administrator / Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data protection and security, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Roles and Responsibility
- Implement and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security threats.
- Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and incident response plans.
- Monitor and analyze security event logs to detect anomalies and respond to security incidents.
- Provide training and awareness programs on data security best practices to employees.
Job Requirements
- Strong understanding of data protection principles and regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA.
- Experience with DLP tools and technologies, such as Symantec DLP and Microsoft Purview.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and architectures, including TCP/IP and DNS.
Skills Required
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP) administration Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview, or equivalent platforms.
- Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and log/event monitoring.
- Incident response and security incident handling.
- Data protection regulations and compliance — GDPR, HIPAA.
- Security frameworks and standards — ISO 27001, NIST.
- Network protocols and architecture — TCP/IP, DNS.
- Endpoint, email, and cloud security controls.
- Data classification and encryption technologies.
- Policy and procedure development and enforcement.
- Scripting/automation for security operations (e.g., PowerShell, Python) — a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ — a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
