About the job:

The Dev Practice Lead defines, governs, and continuously improves enterprise development standards and engineering guardrails to enable consistent, secure, and highquality software delivery across products, projects, and regions.

This role provides practice leadership through standards, templates, readiness criteria, coaching models, and continuous improvement mechanisms and early risk visibility without owning technical architecture, delivery execution, timelines, scope decisions, or resource management.

What you will be doing:

Engineering Governance & AIEnabled Development Practices

- Collaborate with engineering teams to jointly define and align coding standards, engineering practices, and G&R; (Guidance & Review) models that meet product and delivery teams needs while remaining consistent with enterprise objectives.
- Identify effective engineering and AIenabled software development best practices emerging across teams and drive their standardization and adoption across the organization.
- Define and formalize AI usage guidelines (including GitHub Copilot Cloud Agent workflows), by working closely with engineering teams, ensuring outputs are traceable, verifiable, and supported by appropriate human validation while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Facilitate the transition to modern and scalable development practices, ensuring a consistent and traceable execution model across teams.
- Strengthen ShiftLeft practices and support teams in adopting early validation approaches to improve testability, accelerate feedback cycles, and reduce late-stage defects.
- Collaborate across BA, QE and Product CoE teams to ensure end-to-end SDLC alignment and a consistent, traceable requirement-to-test lifecycle.
- Review and refine Guidance & Review (G&R;) and MakerChecker practices to ensure they are clear, effective, and consistently applied.

Adoption, Change Management & Enablement





- Drive adoption of improved engineering practices through structured enablement, communication, and targeted coaching.
- Work with Technical Leads, Software Development Managers and Implementation Heads to ensure new practices are understood, applied consistently, and embedded into daily workflows.
- Act as a change facilitator, ensuring transformation initiatives are practical and sustainable.
- Define and track standardization and adoption metrics, including SDLC adherence, quality gate usage, deviation visibility and AI adoption levels.
- Establish early warning mechanisms (e.g., RAG signals) to provide visibility into process gaps, inconsistent practices and emerging risks.

Engineering Capability & Team Enablement

- Support upskilling of engineering teams in modern development practices, AIassisted workflows and structured engineering discipline.
- Collaborate with the training team, providing input on capability expectations, identify skill gaps and development priorities.
- Review, refine, and mature roles, responsibilities, and RACI models to ensure clarity, consistency, and accountability across engineering functions.

Skills & Competencies:

- Ability to drive alignment and adoption across multiple engineering teams in a matrix organization without formal authority.
- Proven ability to act as a change agent, influencing behaviors and ways of working at scale
- Strong communication and facilitation skills to bring teams together and co-create solutions
- Coaching and mentoring capabilities.
- Systems thinking with the ability to identify systemic delivery issues and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced delivery environments.

What we are looking for:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience (enterprise product and/or multi-client implementation environments),



with 35 years in engineering practice leadership or cross-team technical enablement.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech industries is highly preferred due to complex regulatory and operational requirements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (e.g., Dynamics 365, Power BI, or related ecosystem) is a plus.
- Proven ability to define and drive adoption of engineering standards, shift-left quality and readiness gates.
- Strong technical background .NET or Java, with ability to operate boths.
- Experience enabling automation and AI-assisted development in delivery environments.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot Cloud Agent is mandatory
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, VS Code AI) and ability to guide their use; familiarity with MCP-enabled workflows is a plus.
- Solid understanding of unit testing, testability, and quality practices.
- Experience with Jira/GitHub, version control, and code review workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and modern engineering practices.
