Job Summary

The Retail Project Manager serves as the critical link between internal brand vision and practical execution within mall environments. This role requires a blend of project management expertise, design understanding, and strong communication skills to coordinate between mall developers design guidelines and brand standards. You will manage store build projects from start to finish-overseeing the design approval process, managing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and coordinating with contractors to deliver high-quality, on-brand retail spaces on time and within budget.

Job Responsibilities

- Mall Liaison & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between mall management, internal teams, architects, and contractors. Present store concepts to mall design review committees, secure approvals, and ensure compliance with all developer guidelines.
- Project Execution & Site Oversight: Manage the full store build lifecycle. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address on-site construction challenges, and ensure execution strictly matches approved plans and quality standards.
- BOQ & Cost Control: Review and manage the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all store fit-outs, ensuring accuracy, cost efficiency, and alignment with specifications.
- Contractor Coordination:



Provide explicit direction to appointed contractors, manage change orders, and keep all stakeholders aligned on project milestones, timelines, and budgets.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain thorough project documentation (approvals, BOQs, logs) and provide regular progress reports to leadership.

Experience

- Proven track record of successfully managing and opening retail store builds within shopping malls.
- Demonstrated experience liaising directly with mall authorities and navigating their specific design approval processes.
- Hands-on experience reviewing and managing BOQs and supervising site contractors.

Technical Knowledge

- Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and retail design principles.

Soft Skills

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple store builds simultaneously under tight deadlines.
