Role Description The Engineer Forging role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamshedpur. The engineer will oversee forging operations, including process planning, die and tool design coordination, and monitoring production activities for carbon and alloy steel components.



Daily responsibilities include optimizing forging parameters, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality, and collaborating with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve throughput. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, supporting new product development, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for safety, efficiency, and cost control. The engineer will also maintain documentation, support root cause analysis for defects, and contribute to maintaining compliance with relevant industrial standards.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of forging processes, metallurgical properties of carbon and alloy steels, and metal forming principles.
Experience with production engineering, process optimization, and troubleshooting in a heavy manufacturing or forging environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 2D
