Job Summary
RenewX Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Junior Design Engineer – Electrical to support the engineering and design of Solar PV projects. The candidate should have a basic understanding of solar electrical systems and should be capable of preparing drawings, performing system sizing, and assisting in energy-generation analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for Solar PV projects.
* Perform Solar PV plant capacity calculations and system sizing.
* Prepare electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
* Develop PV plant layouts, cable routing drawings and other electrical drawings.
* Perform PVsyst simulations and prepare energy-generation reports.
* Assist in selection and sizing of:
* PV Modules
* Inverters
* Transformers / IDTs
* AC & DC Cables
* LT/HT Panels
* Switchgear and protection systems
* Earthing systems
* Calculate DC/AC ratio, string sizing and inverter loading.
* Prepare String Layout and Stringing Plan.
* Assist in AC & DC cable sizing and voltage-drop calculations.
* Prepare Cable Schedule, Equipment Schedule and Electrical BOQ/BOM.
* Assist in preparation of earthing and lightning-protection layouts.
* Coordinate with civil, structural, procurement and project execution teams for design requirements.
* Review technical datasheets and drawings received from vendors.
* Revise drawings based on client/consultant comments and maintain proper drawing revisions.
* Support preparation of As-Built Drawings after project completion.
* Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, CEA requirements and project specifications.
Required Technical Skills
Must Have:
* AutoCAD
* Single Line Diagram (SLD) preparation
* Solar PV capacity & system sizing
* PVsyst
* Basic electrical calculations
* MS Excel
Preferred Knowledge:
* Ground-mounted and rooftop Solar PV systems
* DC/AC cable sizing
* String sizing
* Transformer and inverter selection
* Earthing & lightning protection
* HT/LT systems
* Solar plant BOQ/BOM preparation
* Basic knowledge of applicable IS/IEC/CEA standards
