Job Summary

This role of Technical Project Manager needs to lead the implementation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) across the organization. The role will be responsible for driving end-to-end execution of data privacy initiatives, including data discovery, consent management, data protection controls, and regulatory compliance. This individual will bring a strong blend of project management, data governance, and technology expertise, with the ability to work across business, Risk, legal, compliance, and IT teams. This role is critical to ensure that the organization's data handling practices are compliant, secure, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of DPDPA implementation program
- Oversee enterprise-wide data discovery and classification of personal and sensitive data
- Identify data flows, storage locations, and processing activities across systems
- Define project plans, milestones, dependencies, and ensure adherence to timelines
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders including Risk, Compliance, IT, and external vendors
- Implement frameworks for consent capture, storage, and lifecycle management
- Enable processes for Data Principal rights (access, correction, erasure, grievance redressal)
- Coordinate implementation of privacy and security tools such as: Data Discovery Classification tool, consent management platform, Data masking , encryption etc.
- Translate DPDPA requirements into implementable policies, standards, and controls
- Deploy and Configure AWS services as per Gap remediation
- Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure integration with existing systems
- Facilitate workshops,



requirement discussions, and alignment sessions
- Maintain documentation, audit trails, and data lineage for compliance and audit readiness
- Determine project test objectives, success and failure criteria for system and acceptance testing
- Oversee SIT, UAT
- Drive awareness and training programs for employees on data privacy

Key Performance Indicators

- Timely completion of workstream ( data discovery , gap remediation etc.)
- Ensure Data security controls are implemented as per recommendation
- Identify issues in codes or bugs that have entered the production stage
- Data compliance and accuracy for enterprise wise data Inventory and process flow

Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 10 + years experience in project management and data governance related projects and Frameworks
- Primary Skill: Experience in data discovery, classification, and data lifecycle management, Understanding of privacy-enhancing technologies (masking, encryption, anonymization)
- Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or PMP
- Industry domain: experience in Life Insurance domain preferred. understanding of data privacy regulations, especially Digital Personal Data Protection Act is preferred
- AWS Cloud: Good knowledge on deployment/configuration of AWS services like RDS, Redshift, EKS ,S3, EC2 etc.
- Soft Skill: Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, Problem-solving mindset
