Assistant Manager Ethics, Forensics & Investigations
Reporting: Manager Internal Audit & Assurance
Location: Worli, Mumbai
Position Purpose:
Support fact-based, confidential and timely investigations across RPG Group companies, and use internal audit
knowledge, data analytics and AI-assisted techniques to identify emerging integrity risks and potential hotspots.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigations and fact findings

Support investigations into suspected fraud, bribery, corruption, financial impropriety, conflicts of interest, vendor
misconduct and material Code of Conduct violations.
Gather, preserve, analyse and evaluate documentary, electronic, financial and verbal evidence in accordance with
the approved investigation plan.
Assist in investigative interviews with complainants, witnesses and subjects, and prepare accurate interview notes
and evidence summaries.

Draft clear, evidence-based investigation reports that distinguish allegations, facts, findings and recommendations.
Maintain complete case files, evidence logs, working papers and confidentiality throughout the investigation
lifecycle.

Coordinate with business teams, HR, Legal, Compliance, Operations and other stakeholders without
compromising investigation independence.
Analytics, AI and preventive reviews

Use data analytics and approved AI-assisted tools to review complaints, transactions, vendor and employee
patterns, internal audit findings and other relevant information.
Help develop and refine red-flag indicators, risk themes and hotspot analyses for businesses, locations, vendors
and processes.
Validate AI-generated outputs through professional judgement and underlying evidence, while complying with
confidentiality, privacy and information-security requirements.
Support thematic reviews and preventive studies arising from investigation trends and recurring control failures.
Case governance and reporting

Maintain case trackers, ageing reports, dashboards and the central investigation repository.
Prepare monthly MIS, trend analyses, management presentations and committee documentation.
Track agreed actions and follow up with responsible stakeholders through closure.
Travel

Regular travel to Group company offices, plants and project locations will be required, sometimes at short notice.
Qualification & Experience
¢
A bachelor's or master's degree in commerce, finance, accounting, law, criminology, data analytics or another
relevant field. Professional certifications such as CFE or CIA are desirable, but not mandatory.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, forensic reviews, fraud investigations, ethics investigations or
related assurance work.

Candidates from specialist or boutique forensic and investigation firms, forensic practices, or strong in-house
investigation teams are particularly relevant
A good understanding of internal controls, business processes, evidence analysis, investigative interviewing and
report writing is essential.
Working knowledge of data analytics and practical use of AI tools for pattern recognition, document review and
hotspot identification is required.
High integrity, discretion, curiosity, professional scepticism and the ability to work with sensitive information are
essential.
