- Assess and analyze on-prem Kafka environments for AWS MSK migration readiness.
- Execute Kafka-to-MSK migrations, including topic mapping, replication, testing, cutover, and validation.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize AWS MSK clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to drive migration activities and release readiness.
- Develop automation solutions and migration frameworks to support large-scale Kafka modernization initiatives.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and AWS MSK.
- Robust expertise in Kafka migration tools such as MirrorMaker 2 or Confluent Replicator.
- Experience with AWS services (MSK, EKS, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch) and cloud migration projects.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Shell scripting for automation and platform engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, CI/CD, monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk), networking, and Kafka security concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
