Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced manual tester with 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, API testing using Postman, SQL database validation, end-to-end (E2E) testing, and basic exposure to automation testing. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications.

Responsibilities

- Analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and User Stories.
- Prepare comprehensive Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman and validate request/response data.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and perform database testing.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve defects and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support whenever required.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes and testing best practices.




- Provide basic support in automation testing activities by understanding and executing existing automation scripts.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience in API Testing using Postman.
- Good knowledge of SQL for database validation and data verification.
- Hands-on experience in End-to-End (E2E) Testing.
- Experience in Insurance Domain applications (Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, Billing, or related modules preferred).
- Basic exposure to Automation Testing (Selenium, TestNG, or similar tools is an added advantage).
- Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
- Positive understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
