We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable MYP Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic IB faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework and a passion for making mathematics meaningful, inquiry-driven, and conceptually grounded. This role requires subject expertise, innovative pedagogy, and the ability to foster logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and mathematical confidence among students.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the MYP Mathematics framework.
- Design concept-based units integrating key concepts, related concepts, global contexts, and ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills.
- Create an inquiry-driven classroom setting that promotes critical thinking and real-world application of mathematics.
- Design and assess formative and summative tasks in alignment with MYP assessment criteria (A-D).
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and varying ability levels.
- Support students in preparing for MYP eAssessment (where applicable).
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and progress reports.
- Provide academic mentorship and pastoral support to students.
- Participate in collaborative planning, curriculum review, moderation meetings,
and IB training workshops.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance mathematical understanding.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and professional development activities.
- Uphold the school s values of integrity, respect, and lifelong learning in all interactions.
Preferred Qualifications Skills
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Teaching qualification or certification (B.Ed./IB educator training preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience teaching Mathematics, preferably within the IB MYP or an international curriculum.
- Strong understanding of the IB MYP philosophy and assessment criteria.
- Ability to connect mathematical concepts to real-life contexts.
- Proficiency in integrating digital tools and technology in mathematics instruction.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for inquiry-based, student-centered learning.
Work Timings
Monday to Saturday | 7:40 AM - 3:45 PM
(Occasional weekends or extended hours may be required based on school needs.)
