Position Summary:
A Store Officer is responsible for the efficient management of store operations, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of all materials, consumables, spare parts and finished goods. The role supports production, procurement and logistics functions by maintaining optimal inventory levels and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against purchase orders.
- Organise and store goods in correct locations with proper labelling and categorisation.
- Issue materials to departments on approved requisitions and update records accordingly.
- Perform periodic physical stock checks and cycle counting to ensure stock accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in store registers or inventory systems.
- Prepare and maintain goods inward/outward documentation (e.g., delivery challans, GRNs, issue slips).
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or obsolete inventory to supervisors.
- Coordinate daily with procurement, production, stores manager,



and accounts for smooth operations.
- Communicate re-order requirements and assist in inventory forecasting to prevent stockouts.
- Liaise with suppliers and transport teams for timely delivery and receipt of materials.
- Ensure all materials received meet quality specifications before acceptance.
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards within the store area.
- Follow company policies for storage handling, secure stacking, and loss prevention.
- Generate regular inventory status and stock movement reports for management review.
- Assist internal and external audits by providing required inventory data.

- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, Commerce, or related field (engineering degree may be preferred in steel/industrial settings).
