Job Summary

The Purchase Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement of agro-commodity products. This role ensures reliable sourcing, cost efficiency, stock availability, and effective warehouse replenishment to support retail and wholesale distribution.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, forecast, and execute procurement strategies mainly focused on commodity products like Rice, Spices, Pulses, Sugar.:
- Maintain relationships and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
- Source products locally and internationally (if required) at competitive pricing.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to maintain competitive product pricing.
- Control purchasing budgets and improve cost efficiency




- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Prepare procurement reports and performance analysis.

Procurement & Sourcing
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to avoid overstocking or stock outs.
- Collaborate with the store operations team to align purchase volumes with sales trends.
- Oversee order cycles and delivery schedules.

Quality Assurance
- Ensure purchased goods meet the stores quality standards.
- Work closely with the quality control team for inspection and complaint resolution.

Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and inventory turnover.
- Prepare regular procurement and stock reports for management review.
- Aware and should possess hands on experience in handling import/Export documentations.
