Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Nursing or GNM.
- Should be required 3-4 years of experience in CTVS/vascular surgery.
- Operating Room Setup: Prepare the sterile field, ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, implants, and consumables (e.g., sutures, graft material) are available and functional.
- Intraoperative Assistance: Directly assist surgeons by passing instruments during cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries, anticipating needs to ensure efficiency.
- Sterility Maintenance: Adhere to strict aseptic techniques to prevent surgical site infections, managing the sterile field at all times.
- Instrument Management: Clean, handle, and arrange delicate specialized instruments, ensuring proper functioning and sterilization.




- Safety & Counts: Perform strict counts of sponges, needles, and instruments in collaboration with the circulating nurse to avoid retained foreign objects.
- Documentation & Disposal: Document procedures, consumables used, and ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.
- Transfer & Support: Assist with the protected transfer of patients to the ICU/recovery room and support the perfusion team during cardiopulmonary bypass.
