Job Title: Stores Executive - Sheet Metal Industry
Job Summary:
The Stores Executive is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, components, and finished goods related to sheet metal production. The role ensures proper inventory control, material tracking, and coordination with production, purchase, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming sheet metal raw materials (CRCA, HR sheets, coils, pipes, etc.)
- Verify materials against Purchase Orders and delivery challans
- Maintain proper storage of sheet metal materials and components
- Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) system is followed
- Issue materials to production as per approved indent
- Maintain stock registers and update ERP/software entries
- Monitor minimum stock levels and inform purchase department for reordering
- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), inward/outward registers
- Coordinate with production team for daily material requirements
- Ensure proper tagging and identification of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in stores area
- Handle scrap management and maintain scrap records
- Prepare monthly inventory reports
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of sheet metal materials and components
- Understanding of inventory control procedures
- Familiarity with ERP / inventory management software
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel
- Positive documentation and record-keeping skills
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Any Graduate / Diploma (Preferred: Mechanical background)
- 2-5 years of experience in stores department (Manufacturing / Sheet Metal industry preferred)
