To ensure that raw materials, in-process components, and finished products meet defined quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements through inspection, measurement, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
Inspect incoming raw materials, bought-out parts, and subcontracted items.
Verify material specifications, dimensions, and certificates (MTC, COA).
Accept or reject materials as per quality standards.
Maintain incoming inspection records.
2. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
Conduct in-process inspections at various stages of manufacturing.
Monitor critical dimensions and parameters as per control plan.
Identify defects and inform production for immediate corrective action.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, drawings, and process standards.
3. Final Quality Control (FQC)
Perform final inspection of finished goods before dispatch.
Ensure products comply with drawings, tolerances, and customer specifications.
Approve products for packing and dispatch.
Prepare final inspection reports.

Measuring Instruments & Calibration
Use measuring instruments such as:
Vernier caliper
Micrometer
Bore gauge
Height gauge
Dial indicator
Ensure proper handling and storage of gauges.
Support calibration activities and gauge traceability.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inspection reports, check sheets, and quality records.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for deviations.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Assist during internal and external audits (ISO / IATF).
6. Quality Improvement & Compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow quality, safety, and housekeeping norms (5S).
Ensure compliance with ISO / IATF quality systems.
Skills & Competencies
Valuable knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T;
Hands-on experience with measuring instruments
Understanding of inspection methods and quality tools
