POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a Sr/Design Engineer (BE/Diploma in Mechanical) for Vadodara to create PFDs, P&IDs;, and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD & Inventor. Role involves customizing designs, collaborating with global teams, and occasional site visits. Requires knowledge of pneumatic conveying, bulk handling, and dairy/food/powder processing (preferred). Key focus: accurate, on-time deliverables. iLogic and Vault skills are a plus.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Design

Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;), and Master Equipment Lists (MEL) using AutoCAD.

Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, and detailed fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor.

Customize and modify standard equipment designs to meet customer-specific process and project requirements.

Collaborate with global engineering teams to support design and development of process systems, with primary responsibility for engineering drawings and documentation.

Visit customer and vendor sites (as required by Sales and Project teams) to conduct technical feasibility studies, collect site information, and support engineering activities.

Quality

Produce engineering designs that are fit for purpose, meet project requirements, and comply with applicable standards and specifications.

Design Administration

- Ensure all engineering drawings and documents are properly version-controlled, stored, and accessible via Autodesk Vault for seamless team collaboration.
- Adhere to established engineering standards, fabrication practices, and project-specific quality checks to maintain consistency across all deliverables.

Generate and maintain:

- Generate and maintain accurate Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs;, and Master Equipment Lists (MELs)



to reflect real-time project changes and approvals.
- Maintain and update fabrication drawings, GA layouts, and equipment models to incorporate design revisions and minimize rework during project execution.

Innovation

- Leverage Autodesk Inventor iLogic(added advantage) to automate repetitive design tasks, enabling faster customization of standard equipment for client-specific needs.
- Continuously learn and adopt current CAD tools and design practices to improve drawing accuracy, reduce rework, and optimize process system layouts.

Travel

- Visit customer and vendor sites as required by Sales and Project teams to conduct technical feasibility studies and collect on-site information for engineering design.
- Support engineering activities at project locations to ensure designs are practically implementable and aligned with site conditions.

- Accurate and complete process documentation delivered on schedule.
- High-quality 3D/2D drawings with minimal rework, ready for fabrication and installation.
- Tailored designs that satisfy client specifications and project constraints.
- Seamless cross-team coordination and consistent, up-to-date documentation across all project stages.
- Accurate site data collected and feasibility assessed, enabling practical and error-free design execution.

Ensure all engineering designs and layouts comply with relevant health, safety,



and environmental standards applicable to process plants and bulk material handling systems.

Adhere to site safety protocols during customer and vendor visits, conducting feasibility studies with due consideration for operational and personnel safety.

The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee by Fresco NZ (India) Ltd from time to time, including providing support in other work areas to assist with coverage for busy periods, absence etc.

Qualifications, Training and Experience

REQUIRED

- BE Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor (or relevant 3D CAD), Autodesk Vault
- Fundamental knowledge of pneumatic conveying systems and bulk material handling
- Ability to prepare PFDs, P&IDs;, MEL, GA drawings, equipment layouts, and fabrication drawings
- Strong communication skills; ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment
- Proficiency in English
- Willingness to visit customer and vendor sites as required

DESIRED

- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor iLogic
- Experience in Dairy, Food, or Powder Processing industries
- Familiarity with engineering standards, fabrication practices, and process plant layouts
