Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Planner with expertise in Roads and Highways projects to support planning, feasibility studies, traffic forecasting, corridor development, highway capacity analysis, and transportation strategy assignments. The candidate will be involved in delivering transportation solutions for national highways, expressways, urban roads, corridor improvement projects, and infrastructure development schemes.

Key Responsibilities

- Undertake transportation planning and traffic engineering studies for road and highway projects.
- Conduct traffic surveys, O-D surveys, classified traffic counts, axle load surveys, speed and delay studies, and intersection studies.
- Perform traffic forecasting and demand analysis for highways, expressways, and urban road networks.
- Prepare feasibility studies, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and traffic impact assessments.
- Carry out capacity analysis and Level of Service (LOS) assessments for road corridors and intersections.




- Develop transportation models and travel demand forecasts using industry-standard software.
- Analyze freight movement patterns and regional transportation requirements.
- Support alignment planning and corridor development studies.
- Evaluate transportation infrastructure requirements for greenfield and brownfield highway projects.
- Coordinate with highway design teams, urban planners, environmental specialists, and project stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and client submissions.
- Ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH, NHAI, and international transportation planning guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering / Highway Engineering / Urban Transportation Planning preferred.
- Relevant skilled certifications and memberships will be an added advantage.
