Company Description Optimo Capital is building India’s first fully digital Loan Against Property (LAP) product to help MSME businesses unlock growth by leveraging land and property assets. By using technology to analyze circle rates, mortgage data, and land records, Optimo aims to provide in-principle sanction letters within 2 hours and complete disbursements within 48 hours, significantly faster than traditional LAP processes.

The company operates an omni-channel model, combining digital sourcing with a growing network of physical branches to reach rural and semi-urban customers. Optimo currently has around 17 branches across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana and plans to expand to 50 branches by March 2025. The organization focuses on modernizing credit access for small-ticket LAP, helping bridge the gap between current market size and its substantial potential.

Role Description The State Head – Collections is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for leading and managing the collections function across the assigned state. The role involves defining and executing collection strategies, setting performance targets, and ensuring portfolio quality for small-ticket LAP customers.

The State

Head oversees regional and branch collection teams, monitors daily collection activities, and resolves escalated cases, including delinquent and high-risk accounts. This position requires close collaboration with branch operations, credit,



and legal teams to optimize recovery processes, minimize losses, and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The role also includes regular reporting on collection performance, implementing process improvements, and supporting new branch rollouts with robust collection frameworks.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in collections management, recovery strategies, and portfolio delinquency control, preferably in retail lending or LAP.
- Experience in team leadership, branch coordination, and performance management across multiple locations.
- Solid understanding of lending operations, credit processes, and basic legal aspects related to collections and secured lending.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of collection tools or MIS systems to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle escalations professionally.
- Proven ability to work in office, travel within the state as required, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in state-level or regional collections leadership within NBFCs, banks, or fintechs is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English and relevant regional languages, with strong customer-centric and ethical work practices.
