The role spans application development, AMS/L2–L3 support, modernization, cloud migration, DevOps, and SRE across global enterprise clients. You will collaborate closely with delivery leaders, client partners, pre-sales, and enterprise architects to shape winning, scalable, and cost-effective solutions—owning the technical narrative across discovery, solutioning, estimation, pricing inputs, proposals, orals, and due diligence. Post-award, you will provide architecture oversight and governance to ensure quality, consistency, and reuse through standards, patterns, and accelerators. This is a senior, high-impact role requiring deep ADM expertise, strong onsite–offshore global delivery acumen, and the ability to engage credibly with CXO/CTO stakeholders to drive modernization with measurable business outcomes (TCO/ROI, risk reduction, speed-to-market). Key Responsibilities A) Solution & Architecture Ownership - Lead end-to-end solution design for ADM pursuits (Dev, AMS, modernization, migration): scope definition, estimation, delivery model (onsite–offshore/hybrid), SLAs/OLAs, operating model, risks/assumptions, and dependencies. - Define reference architectures, patterns, and blueprints across stacks (Java/.NET, modern front-end, API-led, event-driven, integration/iPaaS, cloud-native/container platforms). - Drive standardization and reusability—solution components, accelerators, templates, estimation models, governance playbooks, IaC baselines, test automation suites, and golden CI/CD pipelines. - Create transition & steady-state plans, governance models, service catalogs, knowledge transition, and BCP/DR strategies. - Collaborate with pricing/finance on costing models and commercials (T/&M;, FP, managed services, outcome-based), incorporating productivity levers and risk buffers. B) Pre-Sales & Deal Support - Partner with sales/account teams to shape RFP/RFI responses, proposals, win-themes, and orals presentations; lead technical due diligence and solution defense. - Present solutions, roadmaps, and transformation journeys to CXO/enterprise architecture forums; articulate TCO/ROI and risk mitigation clearly. - Analyze client landscapes and pain points to craft differentiated ADM propositions (e.g., legacy rationalization, re-platform/refactor, containerization, strangler pattern, platform engineering). - Define operational constructs—SLA/SLO design, capacity/shift models (including 24x7 where needed), environment strategy, tooling, and reporting. C) Delivery Governance & Quality - Provide architecture oversight for strategic engagements; ensure adherence to standards, design fidelity, and operational viability.
- Review and guide NFRs—performance/scalability, resilience, security, observability, recoverability; ensure cost-aware (FinOps) architecture decisions. - Institutionalize SRE practices—SLO/SLI definitions, error budgets, runbooks, AIOps/auto-remediation patterns, incident/problem management integrations. - Ensure alignment with contracted SLAs/KPIs, proactively identifying optimization opportunities and continuous improvement levers. D) Technology Leadership & Innovation - Stay current on cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, DevOps, SRE, low-code/no-code, and ADM modernization trends and toolchains. - Define modernization roadmaps (legacy to cloud-native; monolith to microservices; rehost/re-platform/refactor/re-architect; API-first, data & integration modernization). - Identify and drive accelerators and automation (code quality gates, test automation, IaC, blueprint generators, reference pipelines, observability baselines) to uplift productivity and quality. - Champion security-by-design, compliance alignment, and performance engineering throughout the lifecycle. E) Stakeholder & Client Management - Work with client architects, CTO orgs, and business stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise standards, security, compliance, and strategic roadmaps. - Act as a trusted advisor on ADM strategy, technology choices, and architecture trade-offs—balancing value, time-to-market, and risk. - Navigate multi-vendor ecosystems and complex governance; influence consensus, manage interdependencies, and ensure smooth transitions. F) Practice & People Development - Mentor architects, tech leads, and senior engineers on architecture methods, patterns, and best practices. - Contribute to ADM practice assets—methodologies, estimation models, delivery playbooks, governance templates, and reusable toolkits. - Publish thought leadership (PoVs, whitepapers) and build internal capability through communities of practice and enablement programs. Required Skills & Experience 1) Technical & Architectural Skills - Solid foundation in application architecture across one or more stacks: - Backend: Java/Spring Boot, .NET/.NET Core - Frontend: Angular/React/Vue - Integration & Messaging: REST/GraphQL, Kafka/Event Hubs, iPaaS/ESB (e.g., MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services) - API Management: Azure API Management, Apigee, Kong (or similar) - Hands-on understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), cloud-native design (containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift), and IaC (Terraform/Bicep/ARM/CloudFormation). - Experience with CI/CD & DevOps (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), artifact & release strategies, quality gates (SAST/DAST, dependency scanning). - Strong grounding in observability/SRE (SLIs/SLOs, tracing/metrics/logs, alerting, runbooks) with APM/log stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/EFK, Dynatrace/AppDynamics/New Relic).
- Exposure to application security (OWASP, secrets management, IAM), performance engineering, and resilience patterns (circuit breaker, bulkhead, retry/backoff, chaos testing). 2) ADM & Delivery Expertise - Deep knowledge of the end-to-end ADM lifecycle (requirements, design, build, test, deploy, operate/support L2–L3, CSI). - Proven experience designing managed services models: AMS, ticket-based support, enhancement/backlog factories, and continuous delivery models. - Comfort with estimation methods (story points, function/use-case points, parametric), costing, productivity baselines, and automation levers. - Strong understanding of ITIL v4, change/release management, service transition, service catalogs, and SLA/SLO design. - Practical expertise in global delivery models (onsite–offshore), pyramid/mix optimization, and shift planning for 24x7 operations where applicable. 3) Solutioning & Pre-Sales Skills - Demonstrated success in large deal solutioning (multi-million, multi-year) and leading RFP/RFI responses, orals, and due diligence. - Ability to craft compelling narratives and roadmaps; clearly articulate business value, TCO/ROI, risk mitigation, and transformation benefits. - Experience defining transition plans, governance models, risk registers, and commercial options with pricing/finance collaboration. - Strong workshop facilitation for discovery, problem framing, and executive presentations. 4) Leadership & Behavioral Skills - Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills across client, internal, and partner ecosystems. - Comfortable operating in a matrix organization with global, cross-functional teams and multiple service lines. - Executive presence and crisp communication (written & verbal) to engage C-level and deep technical audiences. - Outcome-oriented, self-starter, with willingness to be hands-on to de-risk complex solution areas.
