Role Description The Study Abroad Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Central Delhi. The counsellor will guide prospective students through the entire study abroad process, including course and destination selection, application planning, documentation, and timeline management.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, answering student and family queries, coordinating with universities and partners, and maintaining accurate records of applications and conversions. The role involves organizing and participating in information sessions, events, and workshops,
as well as collaborating with internal teams on marketing activities and lead follow-ups. The counsellor is expected to provide ethical, transparent advice, ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, and support learners in making informed decisions about their international education pathways.
Qualifications
- Strong counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to explain study abroad options, career paths, and admission processes clearly and objectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident presentation abilities and skilled student- and parent-facing interaction.
- Organizational and administrative skills to manage multiple applications, documents, timelines, and follow-ups with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of international education systems, admissions requirements, visas, and compliance; prior experience in Study Abroad or education counselling is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and online platforms for lead management, tracking, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in education, counselling, management, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Central Delhi, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet targets while maintaining ethical and student-centric practices.
- Comfort with occasional evening or weekend events as required and openness to ongoing learning about new destinations, programs, and policies.
