- Manage day-to-day operations of company-owned and hired vehicles.
- Ensure timely availability and deployment of vehicles as per dispatch and business requirements.
- Plan vehicle allocation, routes and schedules for productive utilization.
- Monitor vehicle movement through GPS and ensure adherence to planned routes and schedules.
2. Driver & Transporter Management
- Coordinate with drivers, transporters and logistics team for smooth vehicle operations.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, discipline and compliance with company requirements.
- Ensure proper coordination and follow-up in case of vehicle delays, breakdowns or route deviations.
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance
- Monitor vehicle servicing, repairs, fitness, insurance, permits, PUC and other statutory documents.
- Maintain records of vehicle-wise maintenance and renewal schedules.
- Coordinate with maintenance/service vendors and ensure timely resolution of vehicle-related issues.
4. Cost & Fuel Control
- Monitor fuel consumption, mileage and vehicle running costs.
- Identify abnormal fuel consumption, excessive idling and unnecessary vehicle expenses.
- Prepare and maintain vehicle-wise cost and utilization reports.
5. GPS & Fleet Monitoring
- Monitor GPS tracking of vehicles and investigate route deviations, unauthorized stoppages and excessive idle time.
- Prepare daily GPS/fleet monitoring reports and highlight exceptions to the reporting manager.
- Ensure GPS devices are functional and coordinate for timely resolution of technical issues.
6. MIS & Reporting Prepare daily/weekly/monthly fleet reports covering:
- Vehicle utilization
- Trip details
- Fuel consumption
- Mileage
- Vehicle availability
- Maintenance status
- GPS deviations
- Breakdown and downtime
- Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation.
7. Team Coordination & Supervision
- Coordinate with the logistics team for daily fleet requirements and reporting.
- Guide junior fleet/logistics executives and ensure assigned reports and activities are completed on time.
- Ensure that daily reporting activities are properly managed by the team even during absence of any team member.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE 5 - 8 years in Fleet Management or logistics especially in Body container vehicle - Heavy Vehicle
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing industry.
QUALIFICATION A bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field such as logistics, supply chain management, or Transportation. Candidates required from manufacturing background are preferred.
