The Hardware Layout Engineer in Lucas TVS Software & Service domain will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of complex multilayer PCB layouts specifically for electric vehicle (EV) applications. The role demands expertise in PCB design tools and a firm grasp of automotive and EV standards, high-speed signal integrity, EMI/EMC compliances, and mixed-signal design principles.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Execute PCB layouts for high-power and high-speed designs.

- Ensure designs comply with clearance and creepage requirements, signal integrity, and thermal considerations.

- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout the design lifecycle.

- Perform DFM/DFA checks and support prototype builds and design validation.

- Generate accurate fabrication and assembly documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:





- 7–10 years of PCB design experience in High Power / High-Speed boards.

- Solid hands-on experience with Altium Designer, PADS, or similar CAD tools.

- Good knowledge of clearance, creepage, EMC/EMI considerations, and stack-up design.

- Ability to design multi-layer boards with controlled impedance, high-speed routing, and differential pairs.

- Exposure to DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability) practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in automotive or industrial domain PCB design.

- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, etc.).

- Degree/Diploma in Electronics Engineering or related field.
