Experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of digital solutions supporting the airline's customer-facing channels, including the airline website, booking engine, mobile applications, and digital retailing platforms. The role is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and highly available digital solutions that integrate seamlessly with Navitaire New Skies, payment platforms, loyalty systems, customer engagement tools, and enterprise services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive airline industry experience, deep knowledge of airline reservation and booking systems, strong expertise in Navitaire Digital APIs, and hands-on experience architecting modern cloud-native customer-facing applications.

Digital Channel Ownership

- Own end-to-end architecture for Airline Website, Booking Engine, Mobile Apps, Manage Booking and Online Check-in.

- Design customer journeys spanning search, booking, payment, ancillary sales, servicing and disruption management.

- Create architecture roadmaps aligned to digital commerce and customer experience strategies.

Navitaire Architecture Leadership

- Act as primary architecture SME for Navitaire New Skies Reservations, Digital APIs, DCS and ancillary services.

- Lead design reviews for Navitaire releases, enhancements and integration initiatives.

- Optimise booking flows, API utilisation, transaction performance and resilience.





Booking Engine & Digital Commerce

- Architect solutions capable of supporting high-volume promotional campaigns and peak travel periods.

- Improve conversion rates, website performance, ancillary attachment and customer experience.

- Support dynamic offers, bundles, seat selection, baggage sales and merchandising capabilities.

Integration Architecture

- Design integrations with Payment Gateways, CRM, Loyalty, CDP, Marketing Platforms, Analytics and Contact Centre solutions.

- Define API-first, event-driven and microservices-based architecture standards.

- Lead real-time customer and transactional integration strategies.

Cloud, Infrastructure & Security

- Provide architecture leadership across Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, CDN, API Gateway, WAF and Identity platforms.

- Ensure scalability, observability, disaster recovery, high availability and security compliance.

- Conduct security reviews, threat modelling and architecture governance.

Stakeholder Leadership

- Provide technical leadership across multiple agile delivery squads.

- Present architecture recommendations and roadmaps to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

- Manage architecture risks, dependencies and vendor relationships.





Requirements

Required Qualifications:

- 10+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in Solution Architecture roles.

- Proven experience within Airline, Aviation, Travel or large-scale Digital Commerce environments.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Navitaire New Skies Reservations and Navitaire Digital APIs.

- Deep understanding of Passenger Service Systems (PSS), airline retailing, ancillary revenue, servicing and loyalty programs.

- Experience architecting high-volume transactional websites, online booking engines and customer-facing digital platforms.

- Strong expertise in API architecture, REST services, microservices, event-driven architecture and integration patterns.

- Robust experience with Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, DevOps and cloud-native architecture.

- Experience designing highly available, secure and resilient solutions supporting critical customer transactions.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Preferred/ Good to have

- IATA NDC and ONE Order initiatives.

- Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud or Customer Data Platform implementations.

- MuleSoft, Boomi, Kafka, Azure Integration Services or Apigee.

- Experience working with airline loyalty and frequent flyer platforms.

- TOGAF Certification.

- Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification.

- AWS Solutions Architect Certification.

- SAFe Architect or SAFe Agilist Certification.

- ITIL Foundation Certification.
