WE ARE HIRING | SWM PROJECT HEAD / SENIOR SWM EXPERT

Location: Maharashtra

Experience: 8 - 12+ Years

Compensation: ₹12- 18 LPA (depending on experience and demonstrated municipal SWM capability)

We are looking for an experienced Solid Waste Management skilled to lead a specialized SWM Transformation Cell supporting the assessment, redesign and implementation of an integrated Municipal Solid Waste Management system in Maharashtra.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in municipal SWM, ULB projects, government coordination, SWM consulting/implementation, DPR preparation and field-level assessments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SWM System Assessment

Lead and independently assess:
- Ward-wise waste generation
- Source segregation
- Door-to-door collection
- Collection routes and fleet deployment
- Transfer stations
- MRFs
- Organic-waste processing
- RDF / resource recovery
- C&D; waste management
- Legacy waste
- Landfill systems
- Bulk Waste Generators (BWGs)
- Informal waste workers

1. Waste Mass Balance

Develop and independently validate the complete waste-flow chain: Generation → Collection → Transfer → Processing → Recovery → Reject → Disposal The candidate should be capable of identifying data gaps and validating the mass balance through field observations and available records.
1. Experience in Integrated SWM Models

Candidates should have prior experience working on integrated Municipal Solid Waste Management projects involving areas such as:
- Decentralised organic-waste processing




- MRF-based recyclable recovery
- RDF / resource recovery
- Scientific management of residual waste
- Integration and formalisation of informal waste workers
- Collection, transportation and processing optimisation
- Legacy-waste management and landfill planning
- Municipal SWM transformation / system redesign

Experience of working with Municipal Corporations, ULBs, State Government departments, SBM/SBM-U, CPCB, MPCB or similar government/implementation agencies will be strongly preferred.
1. Government & Stakeholder Coordination

• Municipal/ULB meetings
- Technical presentations
- Stakeholder consultations
- Technical notes and reports
- Action plans
- Progress reviews
- Coordination with implementation and technical agencies

1. Team Management

Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary technical team comprising:
- Operations Expert
- Environmental Engineer
- Processing Expert
- GIS/MIS Analyst
- Field Coordinator
- Temporary survey/field teams

QUALIFICATION

Preferred

- M. Tech / M.E. - Environmental Engineering
- Master's in Environmental Science
- Master's in Urban Planning
- B.E. / B. Tech - Civil / Environmental Engineering with substantial SWM experience





MANDATORY EXPERIENCE The candidate must demonstrate practical experience in:
- Municipal Solid Waste Management
- ULB / Municipal Corporation projects
- SBM / SBM-U
- SWM consulting and/or implementation
- DPR preparation and project planning
- Field assessment and data analysis
- Government / stakeholder coordination
