About The ART Container n

The ART Container is an Ahmedabad-based architecture and interior design studio creating bespoke, design-led spaces across residential, hospitality, retail and commercial projects .

n

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can take ownership of multiple projects, translate design intent into technically accurate drawings, and lead junior designers through the execution of projects.

n

This is a role for someone who is strong technically, highly organised and capable of taking responsibility — not just someone who can create good-looking designs.

Key Responsibilities n

1. Project Ownership

n

n
- Independently handle 7–10 projects simultaneously across different stages of design and execution.
n
- Take responsibility for project timelines, drawings, coordination and day-to-day design deliverables.
n
- Ensure projects move smoothly from concept development to detailed design and execution.
n
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and site teams wherever required.
n

2. Technical Drawings — PRIME RESPONSIBILITY

n

n
- Prepare and review detailed working drawings and construction drawings .
n
- Develop plans, sections, elevations, furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring layouts, electrical layouts and other technical details.
n
- Prepare detailed joinery, furniture and material details.
n
- Ensure drawings are technically accurate, coordinated and ready for execution.
n
- Review drawings prepared by junior designers before issuing them for execution.
n
- Identify technical issues and resolve them proactively.
n

3. 3D Visualisation — PRIME RESPONSIBILITY

n

n




- Create high-quality 3D models and interior visualisations based on the design concept.
n
- Develop detailed 3D models for furniture, ceilings, walls, materials and architectural elements.
n
- Translate design concepts into accurate and visually strong 3D presentations.
n
- Make revisions quickly based on client and design-team feedback.
n
- Maintain consistency between 2D drawings, 3D models and final design intent .
n

4. Team Leadership & Mentoring

n

n
- Guide and mentor junior interior designers and interns.
n
- Allocate tasks and monitor deliverables within the team.
n
- Review junior designers' drawings, 3D work and presentations.
n
- Train juniors on technical detailing, drawing standards and design processes.
n
- Ensure the overall quality of the team's output meets The ART Container's standards.
n

5. Design & Client Coordination

n

n
- Participate in design development and client presentations.
n
- Understand the design intent and ensure it is maintained through detailed documentation.
n
- Communicate design decisions clearly with clients and consultants.
n
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, vendors and site teams when required.
n

What We Are Looking For nn
- 4–7 years of professional experience in interior design.
n
- Strong command of AutoCAD and 3D software .
n
- Excellent understanding of technical drawings and interior detailing .
n
- Strong knowledge of furniture, joinery, materials, ceiling,



flooring and construction detailing.
n
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
n
- Strong eye for design and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to identify problems before they reach the site.
n
- Solid communication and coordination skills.
n
- Ability to lead, guide and develop junior designers.
n
- Highly organised with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
n

Must-Have Skills n

AutoCAD / Technical Drawings — Expert

n

3D Modelling & Visualisation — Expert

n

Interior Detailing — Strong

n

Project Coordination — Strong

n

Team Management — Strong

Preferred n

Experience in premium residential, hospitality, retail or high-end commercial interiors will be preferred.

n

Knowledge of software such as 3ds Max, SketchUp, V-Ray, Corona, Enscape, Lumion or similar will be an advantage.
