About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Soft Skills Trainer to deliver training to candidates enrolled in skill-development programmes. The trainer will be responsible for improving candidates' communication, personality, interpersonal skills, workplace behaviour and overall employability. The role also involves preparing candidates for interviews, assessments and placement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom sessions on Soft Skills, Communication Skills and Employability Skills.
- Train candidates in spoken English, basic grammar, vocabulary and workplace communication.
- Conduct sessions on personality development, confidence building and interpersonal skills.
- Train candidates on interview skills, group discussions, presentation skills and resume preparation.
- Conduct mock interviews and role-play activities.
- Teach professional etiquette, workplace behaviour, time management and work ethics.
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials and classroom activities.
- Conduct assessments and provide feedback to candidates.
- Monitor candidate attendance, participation and learning progress.
- Maintain daily training records, attendance sheets and assessment documentation.
- Coordinate with the Center Manager, Domain Trainer, Mobilization Team and Placement Team.
- Support candidates in pre-placement preparation and job interviews.




- Motivate candidates and maintain discipline inside the classroom.
- Create an interactive, positive and supportive learning environment.
- Complete the assigned curriculum within the scheduled timeline.
- Participate in placement drives, assessments, inspections and centre-level activities.
- Support the centre team in achieving training and placement targets.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Centre Manager/Project Coordinator.

Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

- Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidates with qualifications/certifications in English, Soft Skills, HR, Education, Training or related fields will be preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience may be considered depending on the employer.
- Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in soft-skills training, communication training, teaching or employability training will have an advantage.
- Experience in DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NSDC, NUA Odisha, OSDA or other skill-development projects will be preferred. Recent Odisha postings specifically mention these projects as preferred experience. GGlassdoor+1

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be confident, energetic, patient and comfortable speaking in front of groups. The ability to communicate in English plus Hindi/Odia would be an advantage for working with candidates in Odisha.
