Overview

Join our dynamic World Informatix Cyber Security team in the Security Operations Center (SOC) team as an Analyst specializing in Splunk, a leading Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of cybersecurity defense, leveraging your expertise in computer networking, threat detection & response, and system security to safeguard critical infrastructure for a variety of international clients. Your energetic approach will drive proactive security monitoring, incident management, and vulnerability assessment efforts, ensuring the resilience of our IT environment.

Description

· Perform SOC Operations, Monitoring Splunk, perform searches Extract reports

Create new, and mature Dashboards Reports and follow operational processes and procedures to appropriately analyze, escalate, and assist in the remediation of information security events and incidents under the guidance and approval of CSOC.

· Prioritize multiple high-priority tasks and formulate responses/recommendations to customers and team members in a fast-paced environment

· Thoroughly document incident response analysis activities and meet SLAs

· Write high-quality incident reports

· Present technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences

· Provide recommendations to enhance detection and protection capabilities

· Act as a mentor and help develop junior staff skillset and technical competencies

· Act as point of escalation for junior staff for advanced analysis and incident response steps where needed

· Perform other duties, as assigned

Job Qualifications

Required

- Understanding of network defense principles,



common attack vectors, and attacker techniques
- Technical baseline skills and the ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of network and most security technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accomplishing assigned tasks with a sense of urgency
- Solid aptitude for continuous learning and growth and initiative to apply that learning to current problems

Experience with or knowledge of the following technologies or concepts: · IT Security Principles

· Cybersecurity and Information Security

· Malware and cyber threats

· Strong soft skills, including:

· Written

· Verbal

· Problem solving

· Decision making

Preferred

· Specialized knowledge in Splunk Administration and Development

· Strong knowledge of industry-standard incident response practices

· Strong knowledge of risk and threat handling with Incident Response.

· Strong understanding of SOC standardization and Management.

· 2 - 4 years Splunk Enterprise Experience engineering, configuring, deploying, and customizing the tool,

Experience with or knowledge of the following technologies or concepts:

· SIEM or other security/log management platforms (e.g., Splunk)

· Basic host-based forensics analysis

· Basic static and dynamic malware analysis

· Regular expressions

· Virtualization

· Common TCP and UDP protocols

L2 Additional Expertise

Experience





- Supporting and deploying Splunk Enterprise implementations in medium to large-size installations
- 4 - 6 years of Spunk Enterprise Experience engineering, configuring, deploying, and customizing the tool, preferably both in supporting the application and utilizing the application for information security monitoring, incident response, and compliance
- Active knowledge of SIEM experience corresponding to maintenance, administration, and utilization of tools a plus.
- Ability to create visualizations in Splunk and custom queries to manipulate views.
- Excellent skills in systems management and experience with monitoring and alerting solutions
- Expert knowledge of scripting language and UNIX command line.
- Effectively communicate, not only with other engineers, but also with leadership, product managers, stakeholders, designers, and anyone who might have a need to express relevant ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT related technical field

Pay: ₹420,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
