Job Summary The SMT Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting SMT production equipment used in PCB assembly. The role ensures smooth production, quality output, and minimal machine downtime. Typical responsibilities include operating pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, reflow ovens, and performing quality inspections.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate SMT production machines.

- Perform machine changeovers and feeder setup.

- Load and replenish electronic components as per production requirements.

- Monitor SMT line performance and production output.

- Troubleshoot machine faults and coordinate corrective actions.

- Conduct first-off inspection and quality checks on PCBs.

- Operate and monitor solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.

- Ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions.

- Maintain daily production records and machine logs.

- Perform preventive maintenance of SMT equipment.





- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to improve productivity and reduce defects.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes.

- Understanding of PCB assembly and electronic components.

- Experience with SMT machines (Yamaha, Juki, Fuji, Panasonic, Samsung, etc.).

- Ability to read BOMs, assembly drawings, and work instructions.

- Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills.

- Knowledge of soldering defects and quality standards.

- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).

- Knowledge of AOI, SPI, Reflow Profile, and PCB inspection.

- Familiarity with IPC standards and ESD practices.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
