Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Backend Developer to develop, enhance, and support large-scale eCommerce applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SFCC development, storefront architecture, backend business logic, APIs, integrations, and production support.

The role involves working on multi-site and multi-locale eCommerce implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to platform enhancements, modernization, and technical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Develop and enhance SFRA-based storefront functionality, including Controllers, Models, Middleware, Hooks, and business logic.
- Work with SFCC Business Manager and manage commerce-related configurations and functionalities.
- Develop and support integrations using OCAPI, SCAPI, REST APIs, web services, and third-party systems.
- Develop and maintain SFCC Service Framework and Jobs Framework implementations.
- Work on backend integrations involving payment gateways, OMS, shipping, tax, and other third-party platforms.
- Support multi-site and multi-locale eCommerce implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, application defects, and integration failures.




- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Support deployments, release validation, and post-production activities.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with QA, frontend developers, business teams, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Mandatory Skills

- 4-7 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) / Demandware .
- Strong experience with SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) .
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Server-Side JavaScript, Controllers, ISML, Middleware, and Hooks .
- Experience with OCAPI and/or SCAPI .
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, Web Services, and third-party integrations .
- Experience with SFCC Service Framework and Jobs Framework .
- Experience working with SFCC Business Manager .
- Understanding of multi-site and multi-locale eCommerce implementations .
- Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
- Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies .

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SiteGenesis .
- Experience with Headless Commerce / PWA Kit .
- OMS integrations, preferably Sterling OMS .
- Payment integrations such as Adyen, PayPal, Apple Pay, or other digital wallets .
- Tax integrations such as Vertex .
- Shipping and fulfilment integrations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification is preferred.
