Job Description: Manager – Production Planning & Vendor Coordination

Reporting To: Lead Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities

n

Production Planning & Control (PPC)

n

n
- Coordinate with contract manufacturing partners to execute production plans as per demand forecasts and sales requirements.
n
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
n
- Track open production orders and proactively follow up on delays or bottlenecks.
n
- Maintain production status reports and update management regularly.
n

n

Vendor Management & Coordination

n

n
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned manufacturing partners.
n
- Ensure vendors adhere to agreed production timelines, quality standards, and dispatch schedules.
n
- Follow up on pending actions related to production, materials, and dispatches.
n

n

Imported SKU Planning & Tracking

n

n
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and customs clearance teams to ensure timely availability of imported SKUs.
n
- Coordinate with secondary packaging vendors for costs and delivery of packaging material as per import plan.
n
- Track shipment schedules and update stakeholders regarding expected arrivals.
n

n

Quality & Compliance Coordination

n

n
- Coordinate with NPD team and manufacturing partners for production schedules for current SKU's and QC process for the same.
n
- Visit vendor facilities for production monitoring, sample reviews, and quality approval coordination.




n
- Follow up on quality deviations, CAPA actions, and corrective measures with vendors.
n
- Ensure documentation and approvals are completed before dispatch.
n

Reporting & Documentation

n

n
- Prepare weekly and monthly production and inventory reports.
n
- Maintain records of production plans, vendor commitments, dispatch schedules, and quality approvals.
n
- Update ERP/MIS systems with accurate planning and inventory information.
n

n

Candidate Profile

n

Education

n

n
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Commerce, or related discipline.
n

n

Experience

n

n
- 3–5 years of experience in:
n
- Production Planning & Control (PPC)
n
- Supply Chain Coordination
n
- Contract Manufacturing Operations
n
- Vendor Management
n
- Inventory Planning
n

n

Required Skills

n

n
- Strong follow-up and coordination abilities.
n
- Good understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting).
n
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and timelines simultaneously.
n
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Basic understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
n

Travel Requirements

n

n
- Willingness to travel regularly to contract manufacturing sites and vendor locations (70% travel).
n
- Travel for production reviews, quality approvals, dispatch readiness checks, and issue resolution.
