We are looking for a skilled and responsible Online Safety Valve Testing Engineer to carry out in-situ testing, inspection and calibration of safety/relief valves at industrial and power plant sites.
The candidate will be responsible for performing online safety valve testing using hydraulic/pneumatic testing equipment and computerized testing systems, ensuring accurate test results and compliance with applicable safety and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform online/in-situ testing and calibration of Safety Relief Valves (PSV/SRV) without removing the valve from service, wherever applicable.
- Carry out valve setting pressure verification and testing using approved online testing equipment.
- Inspect safety valves and identify issues related to valve operation, set pressure and leakage/passing.
- Conduct pre-test and post-test checks and ensure proper test setup.
- Record test parameters and maintain accurate testing data.
- Prepare online safety valve testing reports and documentation.
- Assist in troubleshooting valve-related testing issues.
- Follow approved testing procedures, safety procedures and site requirements.
- Coordinate with client engineers and maintenance teams during testing activities.
- Ensure proper handling, calibration and maintenance of testing instruments and tools.
- Follow all applicable HSE, PPE and site safety requirements.
- Travel to customer sites, power plants, process plants and industrial facilities as required.
Required Skills
- Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in safety valve, pressure relief valve, valve testing or industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, valve details and test procedures.
- Basic computer knowledge for test data entry and report preparation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel and work at customer/project sites.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a technical team.
