Role Description The Senior Veterinarian is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai, responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care and leading medical decision-making within the hospital. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, and conducting surgeries and other procedures as needed. The role involves overseeing preventive care programs, including vaccinations, nutrition counseling, and wellness check-ups, and managing emergency and critical care cases.

Veterinarian will mentor junior veterinarians and veterinary technicians, support continuous training, and contribute to clinical protocols and quality standards. Collaboration with pet parents to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care, while maintaining accurate medical records and compliance with regulatory guidelines, is central to this position.

Qualifications

- Recognized veterinary degree (BVSc or equivalent), with a valid license to practice veterinary medicine in India.
- Several years of clinical experience in small animal practice, including diagnostic workups, medical management, and surgical procedures.
- Strong skills in preventive care, emergency medicine, and anesthesia/pain management for companion animals.
- Ability to lead and mentor clinical teams, providing guidance to veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
- Excellent communication and client education skills, with a focus on empathy, clarity, and collaborative decision-making.
- Comfort with using veterinary practice management systems and diagnostic equipment, and openness to adopting new technologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based medicine, continuous learning, and maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge.
- Experience in a multi-specialty or high-volume veterinary setting is an advantage.
