Key Roles & Responsibility:

Electrical Diagnosis & Troubleshooting

Diagnose and rectify electrical and electronic faults in commercial vehicles, including starting, charging, lighting and control systems.

Vehicle Electrical System Inspection

Inspect wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, fuses, relays, sensors, switches and electrical connections to identify faults.

Diagnostic Equipment Operation

Use appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical and electronic system faults and carry out accurate troubleshooting.

Electrical Repair & Replacement

Repair or replace faulty electrical components, wiring, connectors, sensors, relays, switches and other electrical parts as required.

ECU & Electronic System Support

Diagnose electronic control systems and assist with ECU-related fault identification, programming and replacement as per manufacturer procedures.

Preventive Maintenance

Carry out preventive electrical maintenance and inspections to reduce breakdowns, repeat repairs and electrical failures.

Technical Support to Technicians

Guide junior technicians in electrical diagnosis, repair procedures and troubleshooting of complex electrical problems.

Quality & First-Time-Right Repairs





Ensure accurate diagnosis and proper repair to achieve First-Time-Right (FTR) and minimize repeat electrical complaints.

Final Inspection & Vehicle Testing

Conduct electrical system checks and ensure all repairs are completed correctly before vehicle delivery. Perform road testing where required.

Job Card & Technical Documentation

Record diagnostic findings, repair details, replaced components and technical observations accurately in the job card/Repair Order (RO).

Safety & Workshop Compliance

Follow electrical safety procedures and ensure protected handling of batteries, electrical equipment, diagnostic tools and vehicle systems.

Required Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Automobile / Auto Electrical / Electrical Engineering

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Automobile / Commercial Vehicle Electrical Service Industry

Preferred: Experience in Commercial Vehicle Dealerships or Service Centres
