Hiring: Senior Switching Engineer | Networking Software-Tope level US based product company
nLocation: Bangalore, India
nExperience: 10-20 Years
nWe are looking for experienced Switching Engineers with solid expertise in C programming, Linux system software and networking to work on high-performance switching and routing solutions.
nKey Responsibilities
nAnalyze customer use cases, feature requests and product requirements
nDevelop architecture and design documents
nDesign and implement software using C / Go
nDevelop unit tests and automate testing using Python & CI/CD
nTroubleshoot and resolve customer and production issues
nPerform code/design reviews and ensure high-quality, serviceable software
nCollaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams
nRequired Skills
nStrong C programming skills
nLinux system software development – multi-core, multi-process & multi-threading
nStrong networking and switching software development experience
nKnowledge of IPv4/IPv6,



VLAN, FDB, RIB/FIB, ARP, VXLAN, GRE, IPsec, ACL, PBR, DHCP & QoS
nExperience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, PIM
nExperience with ASIC-based networking datapath or VPP
nUnderstanding of MAC/PHY, SFP, Ethernet, Copper/Fiber and PoE
nExperience debugging customer/production issues
nGood to Have
nGo, Python
nSONiC
nBroadcom ICOS
ngRPC, Protobuf, JSON, Redis
nNetwork Security: MACsec, IPsec, NAC, Firewall, IDS/IPS
nSenior engineers should be able to work independently and take ownership of complex networking software development.
