KEY JOB DETAILS:

- Job Title: SDS2 Checker(Structural Steel)
- Experience: Min 5 Yrs
- Scope: Main structural & misc. steels
- Standards: AISC & CISC knowledge required
- Salary: ₹60k – ₹65k / month
- Location: Karur (In-office)

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and check structural steel shop drawings, erection drawings, and connection details prepared by detailers for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify dimensions, member sizes, bolt patterns, welds, and connection details against design/engineering drawings and applicable codes (AISC, OSHA, etc.).
- Cross-check drawings against IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, RFIs, and client comments/markups.
- Identify and flag errors, discrepancies, or omissions, and coordinate corrections with the detailing team.




- Ensure drawings comply with project-specific standards, general notes, and connection design requirements.
- Verify bolt lists, material take-offs, and NC/DXF files where applicable.
- Maintain drawing revision logs and ensure timely turnaround of checked drawings.
- Coordinate with detailers, project engineers, and connection designers to resolve technical queries.
- Ensure quality control standards are met before final drawing submittal to clients.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing practices, AISC codes, and connection design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings, GA drawings, and RFIs.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures / SDS2 (or equivalent detailing software) for review purposes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in complex drawings.
- Good understanding of fabrication and erection processes.
- Solid communication skills to coordinate with detailing and engineering teams.
