Role & responsibilities

We are hiring a Manager / Sr. Manager Projects to lead cross-functional engineering and execution teams delivering complex, high-reliability aerospace and defense electronics programs. This is an end-to-end program management role from proposal and design phases through manufacturing, testing, qualification, and final site deployment with strict adherence to technical specifications, budgets, delivery timelines, and military quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end lifecycle management for defense electronics projects (Radar, Avionics, EW, Automated Test Equipment, Communication Systems), ensuring on-time delivery within cost and quality parameters
- Coordinate across Systems Engineering, HW/SW Design, SCM, QA, Production, and System Integration to align project milestones
- Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Master Production Schedules (MPS), and budget baselines; monitor Project Earned Value (EV) and control variance
- Identify technical, financial, and supply chain risks early and establish robust mitigation strategies
- Serve as primary point of contact for defense OEMs, R&D; establishments (DRDO, ISRO), Indian Armed Services, and DPSUs for project reviews and design sign-offs
- Ensure compliance with defense quality standards (MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, IPC, AS9100) and customer-specific environmental, EMI/EMC, and screening tests
- Work with SCM to review technical bids, evaluate subcontracting risks, and monitor outsourced development or fabrication activities
- Conduct formal Stage Gate Reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, ATP) and present progress dashboards to executive leadership

Desired Candidate Profile

- 15-20 years of hands-on experience in program/project management within Defense, Aerospace, or High-Reliability Electronics Manufacturing
- Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams in matrixed environments
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive leadership and defense customer interactions
- High resilience and adaptability to changing defense priorities and urgent field support requests
