We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation professional to support instrumentation maintenance and ensure reliable operation of instrumentation systems and control equipment at the API manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, breakdown and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments.
- Handle maintenance of control valves, actuators, transmitters, switches and other instrumentation equipment.
- Carry out calibration of instruments as per approved procedures and schedules.
- Attend instrumentation breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
- Work on PLC, DCS and associated control systems for troubleshooting and maintenance support.
- Maintain instrumentation equipment, records, logbooks and maintenance documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, EHS and Engineering teams for smooth plant operations.
- Support installation, commissioning and modification of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOP, EHS and safety requirements.
- Identify recurring failures and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure availability of critical instrumentation spares and support spare management.
- Participate in shutdown maintenance and plant maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices in the instrumentation area.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in API / Pharmaceutical / Chemical manufacturing plant instrumentation.
- Positive knowledge of field instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting PLC/DCS, control valves and transmitters.
- Knowledge of calibration and preventive maintenance.
- Good understanding of GMP, EHS and maintenance practices.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work in shift operations.
