Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our client’s team in Kochi in a full-time, on-site role.

The Senior Mobile Engineer will build and own significant features across iOS and Android applications , taking product requirements and ambiguous problems through technical design, development, testing, release, and post-launch monitoring.

The role involves working across React Native and TypeScript , while also contributing to native development using Swift/Kotlin when required. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver reliable, maintainable and high-performing mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and ship end-to-end features across React Native iOS and Android applications.
- Own features from technical design through release and post-launch monitoring.
- Develop clean, well-typed TypeScript and maintain comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate actively in code reviews and help maintain engineering quality standards.
- Work with Swift/Kotlin for native modules, SDK integrations and platform-specific requirements.
- Contribute to offline-first data architecture and synchronization .
- Diagnose and resolve production issues using crash reporting, performance monitoring and logs.
- Improve mobile application reliability and performance.




- Collaborate with Product, Design and Backend teams to evaluate trade-offs and deliver iteratively.
- Help maintain and extend shared UI components and development patterns.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor responsibly to accelerate development and improve test coverage.

Qualifications

- Several years of professional experience in mobile application development .
- Strong production experience with React Native and TypeScript/JavaScript , or strong native iOS/Android experience with React Native familiarity.
- Strong understanding of React , including hooks, component design and rendering performance.
- Experience with mobile application lifecycle, navigation, asynchronous data fetching, caching and local persistence.
- Good understanding of differences between iOS and Android platforms.
- Working knowledge of Swift or Kotlin and willingness to work across the native layer.
- Experience with testing and a strong track record of delivering reliable, maintainable software.
- Good understanding of offline-first architecture, local storage and data synchronization is an advantage.
- Familiarity with BLE/IoT, WebRTC, maps/geolocation or push notifications is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated release pipelines and E2E testing is desirable.
- Familiarity with internationalization/localization and mobile performance optimization is an advantage.
- Comfortable using AI coding tools while independently reviewing, validating and taking ownership of the resulting code.
- Strong communication, collaboration and code-review skills.
