Position Summary:

The Senior Manager – Advanced Operations & Manufacturing will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for patient-specific implants and surgical guides while developing scalable manufacturing systems for future software-enabled digital surgery products. The role requires expertise in manufacturing engineering, additive manufacturing, supplier development, quality systems, process optimization, and regulated medical device production.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations

- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations
- Production planning and scheduling
- Capacity and resource planning
- Cost optimization
- Manufacturing KPI development

Patient-Specific Implant Manufacturing

- Lead manufacturing of custom orthopedic, CMF, neuro and patient-specific implants and surgical guides
- Ensure manufacturing complies with approved clinical design and quality requirements

Manufacturing Engineering

- Develop CNC, additive manufacturing, post-processing, finishing, inspection, packaging and sterilization workflows
- Implement DFM, DFA, work instructions and process validation

Advanced Manufacturing Drive automation, MES/ERP integration, AI-assisted workflows, digital traceability and eDHR implementation

Supplier Development

- Qualify and audit suppliers




- Manage titanium, CoCr, 3D printing, CNC, coating and sterilization partners
- Negotiate cost and monitor supplier performance

Quality & Regulatory

- Support ISO 13485, FDA QMSR, ISO 14971 compliance
- Lead CAPA, NCR, change control and process validation

Operational Excellence

- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen and value stream mapping
- Improve yield, productivity, delivery and process capability

Product Transfer Lead R&D; to manufacturing transfer, pilot builds, verification builds and production release

Leadership

- Lead manufacturing, quality, CAD, supply chain and production teams
- Develop talent and cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- 10–15 years of experience in regulated manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years leading manufacturing teams
- Experience in medical devices, aerospace, precision engineering or advanced manufacturing
