Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable banking and payment solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. The candidate should have solid expertise in Java-based backend development, API integrations, micro services architecture, and financial services platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for the Passport platform.
Develop and enhance microservices-based applications following domain-driven design and industry best practices.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Design and implement secure integrations with third-party vendors, banking partners, payment processors, and internal platforms.
Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to long-term technology strategy and roadmap planning.




Drive application modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, framework upgrades, and infrastructure migrations.
Optimize application performance, scalability, availability, and resiliency through proactive monitoring and tuning.
Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and engineering best practices.
Mentor and guide junior engineers through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and career development.
Analyse and resolve complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
Support production releases and participate in on-call or incident response activities as needed.
Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality and reduce production defects.
