Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Engineer/ Lead Engineer, who will be able to design & develop PHE & FF services for medium to large scale projects. Candidates should be a graduate Mechanical/Civil engineer with around 8-17 years’

experience in designing the PHE&FF; services from Concept stage till IFC stage.

Daily Duties/Tasks

- Possess sound technical knowledge on all types of water supply & drainage systems.
- Demonstrates solid technical expertise across all fire protection systems, supported by comprehensive knowledge of relevant local codes and advanced proficiency in NFPA standards.
- Excellent knowledge on space planning and ability to coordinate effectively with other stakeholders of the project
- Good experience in various project sectors including but not limited to Airports, Hangars, Metro Rail, Datacenters, Hotels, High-Rise, Commercial and Branded Residential Buildings.
- Knowledge on both Plumbing and Firefighting services is essential.
- Basic understanding of other MEP disciplines is also expected to perform interfaces and BIM coordination activities.
- Good working knowledge on any of the hydraulic design software including but not limited to HASS, H2X, Pipenet, Hevacomp, Vds, Water GEM, Sewer GEM etc.
- Ability to independently prepare and deliver the Firefighting and Plumbing design calculations using an excel spreadsheet.
- Capable of leading project teams of 5-15 members and delivering projects within established schedule and budget requirements.




- Coordinate the structural and Architectural requirements with respective discipline leads and collaborate with other MEP leads to issue combined MEP requirements.
- Interact with team on specifications, estimates and contractual issues.
- Should be able to contribute to preparing BOQs, Specifications, and Design reports.
- Good experience in customer handling - discussing technical reports / input requirements / issues and challenges with customer proactively.
- Requires interaction with clients, contractors, and vendors. Travels to client sites for project meetings, presentations, etc.
- Prepares budgets, schedules, project status reports, and technical bid analysis reports.
- Must be able to do vendor document review and material datasheet vetting.
- Shall have working knowledge of collaborative platforms such as Revizto, ACC, and Navisworks.
- Having working experience in AutoCAD is mandatory and having working experience on Revit (MEP) software will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of applicable domestic and international standards relevant to the candidate's region of experience is essential.

- Ability to strictly adhere to the project deadlines & the deadlines set by line manager.
- Good communication and presentation skills & excellent report writing skills.




- Minimum 6 years of Middle East project experience, or experience on at least 5-8 large-scale Middle East projects is expected for candidates with 10+ years of experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Middle East project experience, or experience on at least 2-4 medium or large-scale Middle East projects is expected for candidates with less than 10 years of experience.
- Experience on Hospitality, Data Centers, Metro, Aviation, Healthcare and Rail Sector will be an added advantage
- Experience working on projects in other global regions, such as the US, UK, Europe and ANZ, will be considered an added advantage, though not mandatory
