Purpose Drive safety, reliability, and risk management activities for Low Voltage Circuit Breakers and Power Distribution products throughout the product development lifecycle. Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, improve product robustness, and support successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities Safety Engineering

- Lead product safety assessments and Offer Safety Regulation Reviews (OSRR).
- Ensure compliance with IEC, UL, and functional safety standards.
- Identify hazards, safety-critical functions, and risk mitigation actions.
- Support safety architecture reviews and fault management strategies.

Reliability Engineering

- Define reliability targets and reliability plans for new product development.
- Conduct DFMEA, FTA, RBD, Physics of Failure, and Weibull analyses.
- Develop accelerated life testing and reliability qualification strategies.
- Analyze field, warranty, and test data to drive reliability improvements.

Risk Management

- Facilitate DFMEA workshops and multidisciplinary risk reviews.
- Drive closure of high-risk items and preventive actions.
- Support risk-based decision making during design reviews.

Product Development Support

- Participate in concept, architecture, design, validation, and prototype reviews.
- Ensure safety and reliability requirements are translated into design specifications.
- Support root cause analysis and reliability demonstration testing.

Circuit Breaker Domain Expertise Strong understanding of:

- MCCB, ACB, MCB, Residual Current Devices, Trip Units, Operating Mechanisms.
- Arc extinction systems, contact systems, thermal and magnetic protection systems.
- Risks related to contact wear, thermal performance, insulation coordination, electrical and mechanical endurance.
- Next-generation and grease-free breaker development programs.

Reliability Testing Expertise Experience defining and reviewing:

- Electrical and Mechanical Endurance Testing
- Temperature Rise Testing
- HALT/HASS
- Environmental Qualification Testing
- EMC/EMI Evaluation
- Reliability Qualification and Certification Activities

Qualifications Education

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Reliability Engineering.





Experience

- 5 to 8 years in Product Development, Quality, Safety, or Reliability Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years in Low Voltage Circuit Breakers or Power Distribution products.
- Proven experience in DFMEA facilitation, risk assessment, and reliability engineering.
